Since the last picture in this post, a gazebo has been built here with a bench and some interesting posters about the rabbit infestations in the area. There were also 2 long drop toilets. And lots of sandflies… our first encounter, coming from the east coast.
Looking to maybe stay at Lake Tennyson mid April next year. We would be driving a 6ft campervan from Hanmer, and were just wondering how accessible the road is for this type of vehicle, as some websites say 4wd only whilst others state 2wd up to 7ft.
Rod, the road varies from year to year. I don’t think you mean a 6ft campervan…but if it were 6m or 7m I don’t think that would be the clincher. The yearly state of the road will decide if you get there, along with your personal tenacity. You’ll never find anyone who’ll commit to telling you how this road is/will be except someone who was there the past week. Hope that helps, cheers, scott
