    The DoC orange triangles now lead to within a hundred metres or so of the last picture above, although they can be hard to spot. There are a multitude of cairns, some misleadingly suggesting a crossing of the main stream, whereas you should keep to the true right bank to gain the vantage point giving a view of the waterfalls or to continue to the saddle.
