From the Mole you’ll see over to Taiaroa Head lighthouse.  This photo shows some of the eroded Tetrapods that were emplaced to try to preserve the Mole.  Read about the Mole Tetrapods on the info board back at the beach carpark.

Plenty of Fur Seals lounge at the end of the Mole, making for easy photos:

Now for a walk along the beach poking out into the harbor mouth to the derelict Aramoana Wharf at its end.  There are often Sea Lions lounging on the sand at the end.

The walk along the Aramoana Beach is a treat the entire way….neat rock formations including the keyhole arch, penguin tracks to and from the dunes, and often some Fur Seals on the sands at the end of the beach.
