The edge of the lake is overgrown with vegetation now. The trail ends at a somewhat disappointing view. But if you follow the voices of other people, head left along the edge of the lake and you’ll find a great view point with a bunch of boulders to sit on and have lunch. You’ll have to do some serious bush whacking to get there, but it’s definitely worth it!

Fyi, a storm has knocked out part of the first gantry, so you can walk up to this point, but no farther. It is temporarily closed with no date for anticipated repair completion. Visited 10/Dec/2017.
